Aasif Sheikh has produced a crucial innings in the opening match of NPL Season 2, bringing up his half-century in just 37 balls for the Janakpur Bolts against the Kathmandu Gurkhas. His knock has come at an important stage of the game, as the Bolts lost wickets at regular intervals early in the innings.
At the end of the 12th over, Janakpur Bolts stand at 75 runs for 4 wickets, with Aasif holding the innings together. His ability to rotate the strike, find the gaps, and punish loose deliveries has kept the scoreboard moving despite the pressure applied by the Gurkhas’ bowling attack.
