Creator’s Mela 2026 Kicks Off in Chitwan

The highly anticipated Creator’s Mela 2026: Vision to Venture officially began today (January 17, 2026) at Hotel Siraichuli in Chitwan. Over 800 young and emerging content creators attended the opening day of this free multi-city conference, organized by the U.S. Embassy in Nepal and powered by Ncell.

Key Highlights from Day One

The event featured engaging parallel sessions across two halls, including:

  • Panel discussions and spotlight conversations
  • Hands-on workshops
  • Live performances
  • The innovative “Pitch to Success” platform

Prominent speakers and celebrities shared valuable insights, including actress Priyanka Karki, actor Ayushman Joshi, entrepreneurs Cabinet Shrestha (Agni Group) and Anand Bagaria (Nimbus), along with Sandhya KC. Popular creators like 2B Gamer, Eva Giri, Shrishes Manandhar, Ekata Tandukar, Nepal 8th Wonder, and The K-OS also took the stage. The day concluded with a high-energy live performance by singer Yabesh Thapa.

Theme and Focus: Vision to Venture

This year’s theme, “Vision to Venture”, marks a shift from pure content creation to building sustainable businesses. The program equips participants with essential skills in:

  • Monetization strategies
  • Digital entrepreneurship
  • Audience growth
  • Accessing global markets

The initiative draws on U.S. expertise in technology and creative industries to support Nepal’s growing creator economy.

Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy Nepal, stated: “Creator’s Mela 2026 reflects the United States’ commitment to strengthening Nepal’s creative economy. By enhancing knowledge, skills, and networks nationwide, we are supporting entrepreneurship, job creation, and positioning Nepali creators for success in global markets.”

Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director at Ncell, added: “We are delighted to continue this collaboration, offering creators opportunities to harness their skills for impactful content.”

Ncell Video Challenge

To increase participation, Ncell launched an exciting video challenge. Registered attendees can submit a 1-minute video on the topic “How Ncell 4G makes your life easier” to Instagram or TikTok, tagging @ncell and using #CreateGaraPostGara along with their city hashtag (#Chitwan, #Nepalgunj, or #Kathmandu). Winners from each city will receive Rs 50,000 cash and additional opportunities.

Upcoming Schedule

The mela will continue with:

  • Nepalgunj: January 24
  • Kathmandu: Grand two-day finale on January 30–31 (featuring high-profile mentorship and pitching sessions)

Impact and Legacy
