Kathmandu Gurkhas is one of the eight teams in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The Nepal Women’s National Team’s captain Indu Barma is the brand ambassador of this team. Upendra Mahato is the owner of Kathmandu Gurkhas.

There are various national and international players playing from this team under the captaincy of Karan KC and the head coach of Basanta Shahi. Some international players are Daniel Douthwaite (an explosive all-rounder, known for powerful hitting and clutch wickets), Stephen Eskinazi (known for his high strike rate and consistent run-scoring), Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia’s cricket captain, known for his leadership and consistent performance) and other.
