The group stage of PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 officially ended on July 27. For three days, 24 top teams from around the world battled to collect points and secure a direct ticket to the Grand Finals.
From the PMWC 2025 Group Stage Rankings, the top 8 teams qualified directly for the Grand Finals. The remaining 16 teams, ranked 9th to 24th, now move to the Survival Stage, which started today, July 29.
In the next phase, 8 teams from the Survival Stage will be selected. In total, 16 teams will compete in the Grand Finals from August 1 to 3.
Top 8 Teams Who Moved to the Final

- Alter Ego Ares – 121 Points
They came back strong on Day 2 with 78 points, finishing on top of the leaderboard. - 4Thrives Esports – 111 Points
A consistent team that scored well on Day 1 and 2 to secure second place. - DRX – 89 Points
DRX stayed solid and finished with strong performances across two days. - Weibo Gaming – 89 Points
A huge comeback on Day 3 with 49 points helped them jump into the top 4. - Alpha Gaming – 86 Points
Picked up steam on the last day with 48 points, pushing into fifth place. - Team Secret – 86 Points
Got a great start with 50 points on Day 1 and held steady. - ThunderTalk Gaming – 83 Points
Scored well on Day 2 and 3, consistently climbing the table. - IDA Esports – 83 Points
They played safe and smart, and it paid off as they just made it into the final 8.
Horaa Esports – A Step Away, But Still in the Race!
Horaa Esports, our pride from Nepal, gave it their all in the group stage. They played with heart and skill, but just missed the direct qualification, finishing in 13th place with 70 points.
- Day 1: 38 points
- Day 3: 32 points
It’s heartbreaking for Nepali fans to see them fall short by only a few points. But this isn’t the end. They now head to the Survival Stage, where they will have another golden chance to prove themselves.
If Horaa finishes in the top 8 of the Survival Stage, they will still make it to the Grand Finals. Let’s stay hopeful — the comeback story is still possible!
Who Missed Out?
Some big names failed to make the top 8:
- Alpha7 Esports started strong but slowed down on Day 3.
- Team Vision and INFLUENCE RAGE, both considered strong teams, struggled to keep up.
- Team Falcons and Fire Flux Esports also failed to qualify for the finals directly.
These teams, along with Horaa, will now fight for their survival in the next stage.
